The food are nice, especially the Hainanese chicken chop, Hainan noodles & shepherd pie, authentic Hainanese food. I like the environment. If you know Hainanese, can converse in Hainanese with the Peh Ler, he's very friendly.

Khoon Pastry House located at Penang Island is an old cafe and seems popular with the Hainanese chicken chop. The Hainanese chicken chop was acceptable in taste but portion wise can be improved and more generous with the sides for the price charged.

The chicken mushroom pie was a disappointment and it is not worth the price. The gravy was not thick and tasty with mostly cooking cream with tiny pieces of chicken and veggies. The shepherd’s pie was alright and worth trying. Pandan layered cake was good but it was slightly overpriced at RM6.50 for a thin slice.

It's a cozy little restaurant that brings u back to the old days.

Food is delicious. Try their chicken chop, hainan fried noodle, fried spring roll, chicken pie and chicken rice. The fish and chip is also surprisingly good, tasted different from the conventional ones served in other places.

Went in second time. Now I understand why they are a pastry shop. Their shepherd pie is very good. Crusty top, hearty filling of chickens on bottom. Tasty. 20min waiting, worth it though

Chicken Rice and Mushroom soup are great. Nice decoration although a bit tight space and you can hear adjacent table conversations. Server/Boss not friendly, always watching his phone and not paying attention to his customers. His dad and mom (as picturized with our Chief Ministers) are more friendly and care of the business. We're expecting better service since the food price is considered expensive considerably as compared to other places in Penang

Authentic Hainanese foods and home made chillies. The chicken is cooked using traditional Hainanese method. I had never tasted such aroma hot lemon tea for ages. The locals are fortunate that such authentic Hainanese foods and tea are still available for them.

The texture of the Hainanese chicken chop is good and the gravy that complements it tastes really good.

Wonderful hainanese chicken chop, shepherd pie they offered. They have oriental and signature option to let u choose for their chicken chop. Not forgetting hailam mee is awesome too.

Dont forgot to purchase some fruits cake when you left the shop!
