Tampat do Aman is your very friendly, basic, non-commercial and eco friendly getaway in stunning surroundings. I really enjoyed staying there. Over coffee and eggs Howard chats about the area and local customs, then is happy to do a local drop off and also pick up at the end of the day if required, although it's only a 30 min walk to the local beach. |And lets not forget about the walkable coastline with all the incredibly beautiful beaches. Definitely a well kept secret!|Howard and Lorrina work tirelessly to maintain and make improvements to the property (not easy in the humid jungle) while also being very involved in the local community and actively encouraging Rungus traditions. Everyone was so friendly.| Where else can you have a shower with a beautiful flowering hibiscus hanging over the 3/4 height wall, a gecko in the corner and listen to the village children playing the gongs?

Amazing place to spend some nights near the tip of Borneo. The host was super friendly and interesting. There is a small nature reserve with a trail and a watchtower, as well as a museum with some local culture. Beds and showers super confortable, and breakfast very tasty. Would love to spend more time here!

The only thing I would avoid is the filtered water, both me and my partner had a loose stomach after, and I strongly suspect it was the water since we are not used to it. Has happened to me in other places across the world.

Tampat do aman is the perfect place to stay by the tip of Borneo. Howard, the owner, is incredibly caring and extremely knowledgeable on the local area, culture, and wildlife. You truly feel like you are a part of the jungle while staying here. The nearby beaches are also some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Howard offered us rides every morning and gave us very helpful directions for exploring the coast everyday. Additionally, the hiking paths through the jungle on the property are beautiful and fun to explore. i would highly recommend staying here to anyone who loves nature and beautifuo beaches!

Outstanding.||Howard and his family are very welcoming hosts and extremely knowledgable about the local flora and fauna with their own mini nature reserve across the road from the camp. Sleep to the sounds of the jungles and awake to the golden sun.||The beach is a short ride or a slightly longer walk and has good restaurants along it - the food is expensive at Tommy's and not as good as Annie’s, but if you want to use the broadband at Tommy’s you will need to buy a drink! ||A great spot and highly recommended.

what an amazing place to stay! Howard and Lorena are doing an amazing job to run a tourism business which is connected to the local community and the nature. It's a beautiful place to watch some animals, go to closeby beaches and learn a lot about local food, culture and plants in the cooking class. it you are looking for an authentic, tranquil place: this is the place to be! 🙂
