Our visit to The Green Factory was truly an eye-opening experience. Harith provided an excellent introduction to the factory, where we had the opportunity to learn about pallet dismantling and observe the entire wood sanding process, from thinning and grinding to shaping, color printing, and laser engraving. The hands-on experience was both educational and enjoyable.

We also participated in a Wood Art Workshop, where we created our own unique wood art pieces. The workshop was well-organized, and it was exciting to see our creativity come to life.

Harith's sustainability talk was a highlight of the visit. He shared valuable insights on how the factory repurposes discarded wood, plastic, and fabric into new products, emphasizing their focus on design and cultural preservation. It's inspiring to see how they integrate sustainability into every aspect of their work, from school programs to public outreach. It's a place worth to visit if you are interested about sustainable materials. Mainly they use wood/plantation wood/ reclaimed wood as their main material but also other waste materials like fabric, plastic bottles, saw dust and many more. They also produce a variety of products, drop by to have a look!
